Hi! I’m Alane.
I am a designer specializing in Digital Graphics, Web Design, and Events based between Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley.
Currently, I am a Marketing Communications Manager at Taconic Biosciences, a life science company specializing in breeding genetically engineered research rodent models, located in Albany, NY. Upon arriving at Taconic, I quickly established a blog editorial calendar and process, which has tripled its yearly content, resulting in a 30% increase in organic blog traffic (year to date). I am comfortable with spearheading strategic marketing campaigns in a fast-paced work environment on tight deadlines and budget constraints.
While transitioning to the Hudson Valley, I serve as the studio manager at Hartland Brooklyn, a small stationery company located in the Catskills. Part of my responsibilities include launching all new products to and the maintenance of the Hartland Brooklyn website and Etsy shop.
As a Content Specialist in the Digital Communications department at Hospital for Special Surgery, the #1 hospital in orthopaedics in the nation, I provided design and web support to a variety of departments. My day-to-day varied between creating clean and creative graphics to collaborating on several large cross-departmental partnerships to build robust webpages and feedback tools. I had the pleasure of assisting in the roll-out of the Hospital’s new brand visual identity. Prior to my transfer to the Digital Communications department, I worked with the Education & Academic Affairs team as a Web Associate. I was an integral part to the launch of the Hospital’s professional online education survey tool and was responsible for the redesign and production of numerous division webpages.
Upon first moving to New York City, I worked with a small photography production studio, Urban NYC, as a production assistant. While there, I increased the number of represented locations they had relations with, assisted in the casting of talent and supported on-site photoshoot production.
